As-Built Verification

What is As-Built Verification?

As-Built Verification

Structures with missing plans, undocumented repairs, or suspected construction errors can be difficult to evaluate. BDI’s as-built verification services set out to uncover the truth about how these structures were built in a minimally invasive way, empowering engineers and owners to act confidently and decisively without having to rely on assumptions or risk harming the structure or the traveling public.

What Can We Do

BDI applies traditional inspection and advanced nondestructive evaluation (NDE) techniques to determine critical information for new and existing structures. Our team provides expert guidance to define the appropriate NDE scope, always selecting the best tool for the job. Depending on the makeup of the structure and the nature of its unknowns, BDI offers a variety of services to help quantify critical structural information.

The location, size, and layout of steel reinforcement, element size, presence of defects such as voids or delamination, susceptibility to deterioration, and possible deterioration mechanisms. (See Plain / Reinforced Concrete Structures for more information on NDE methods)

The location, size, and layout of steel reinforcement, element size, presence of defects such as voids or delamination, defects inside grouted PT ducts, susceptibility to deterioration, and possible deterioration mechanisms. (See Pre/Post-Tensioned Concrete Structures for more information on NDE methods)
