A DOT requested WSP and BDI to install two structural monitoring systems on a bridge during the jacking and replacement of two piers. Following installation and commissioning of the system, BDI immediately started collecting data and publishing the measurements to its cloud based platform for dissemination to the construction and DOT teams. The monitoring system consisted of instrumentation at critical locations and includes strain gages, survey prisms, thermistors, and a weather station.
