BDI is providing nondestructive evaluation (NDE) of several bridges located throughout the southern region. BDI will first perform a brief visual inspection of each bridge by taking applicable measurements and photos of each bridge for reporting and scour analysis purposes. Additionally, piles located at the deepest and shallowest parts of the channels will be identified for testing. BDI will work in coordination with the client to test multiple bridge foundation elements at each bridge.
In accordance with the NDE method chosen for each bridge, BDI will perform either sonic echo/impulse response (SE/IR), ultraseismic testing (US), or parallel seismic survey (PSS) testing to determine the configuration and physical parameters for each foundation element. If it is deemed necessary to use electromagnetic or electrochemical methods, BDI will coordinate further with the client.
