WSP contracted BDI and Infrasense to perform nondestructive evaluation (NDE) on seven select bridge decks in the western region.
The NDE activities contracted to BDI were to perform deck acoustic response (DAR) testing with BDI’s SounDAR system and to Infrasense were to perform ground penetrating radar (GPR), infrared thermography (IR), and high-resolution video (HRV). The testing was performed on all bridges between in April and May of 2019.
The contract also specified that all data collected from one of the bridges should be analyzed and reported. SounDAR, IR/HRV, and GPR testing were performed on this bridge in April and May of 2019.
