The STS4-ALPT is an Automated Load Position Tracker that has been designed to be used with our Structural Testing System for the purpose of wirelessly tracking the longitudinal position of a vehicle that is being used as the test vehicle for a diagnostic load test.  This device easily clamps on to the back of most vehicles and contains a rotary encoder that has been calibrated to record linear position.  The STS4-ALPT wirelessly connects to a mating Base Station (STS4-WBS) and can similar to an STS4 Node in that it seamlessly connects to the fielded STS4 system to provide an accurate longitudinal position of the loading vehicle as it crosses the structure during a diagnostic load test.
